RRB Recruitment 2018 opens for 26,502 ALP and Technician vacancies


Indian Railways has commenced the application process for one of the biggest recruitment of the year 2018. The Centralized Employment Notice (CEN 01/2018) was issued by the Railway Recruitment Boards on 3rd February for filling total 26,502 vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technicians. The candidates can apply for RRB recruitment 2018 through any of the official websites of RRBs. RRB ALP 2018 

The total vacancies (26,502) are distributed across all 21 Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs).
The ALP and Technician vacancies under Indian Railways recruitment 2018 are distributed among 21v RRBs at Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Jammu, Kolkata, Malda, Mumbai, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Ranchi, Secunderabad, Siliguri, and Thiruvananthapuram. There are total 17,673 ALP vacancies and 8,829 Technician vacancies. 
The applications for RRB recruitment 2018 can be filled up to 5th March (11.59 pm). While the application process commenced with the release of official notification, the online application process has halted several times due to server maintenance. The application form can be filled through any of the RRB website or click this direct link to apply to RRB recruitment 2018.
RRB has set the age limit for ALP and Technician recruitment 2018 as 18 to 28 years (as on 01.07.2018). There is also the provision for relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates. The candidates will also have to pay Rs. 500 as application fee, however, the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex-Serviceman/ PwD/ Female/ Transgender/ Minorities/ Economically backward classes will have to Rs. 250 application fee. The fee can be paid through internet banking/ debit/ credit card/ SBI bank branch/ post office.
The selection process comprises of two-stage computer-based tests (CBT) and computer-based aptitude test for ALP post. The first stage CBT will be tentatively held in April and May, the exact dates will be announced after the conclusion of the application process. The dates of other stage tests will be announced later.
The first-stage CBT will act as a screening test for second stage CBT. The 1st stage CBT will comprise of 75 questions on Mathematics, General Science, General Awareness on current affairs and General Intelligence & Reasoning. The test duration will be 60 minutes and considering the large number of applications to be filled for the recruitment, the test will be conducted over a period of several days.
